Basis weight sets thickness and absorbency; the pattern affects grip and soil removal. The WIP series runs from 30 to 90 g/m² at roughly 0.15 to 1.00 mm thickness. Lighter weights (30–50 g/m²) are thin and low cost per sheet, suited to high-volume routine wiping; heavier weights (70–90 g/m²) are substantial and hold more liquid, suited to heavy grease and single-pass clean-up. Available surface patterns are bark, plum blossom, fine dot, chicken claw and sesame; embossing increases contact area and improves pick-up of particulate soil. Hydrophilic treatment is available across the range and is identified by the suffix H.

Cut it to size or place it directly in the grease channel of the range hood, where it collects oil droplets and condensed grease produced during cooking. The product is an absorbent layer laminated to a PE barrier film, so grease does not soak through to the channel below — replacement means simply lifting the sheet out, avoiding the job of scrubbing the channel. Standard sizes include 90 cm × 10 cm and 90 cm × 14 cm. Replacement frequency depends on cooking volume; a monthly check is a reasonable default for a domestic kitchen.

The Rongjie kitchen cloth uses sub-micron microfibre. The finer fibres grip and hold grease well enough that in most cases detergent is not needed to remove an oil film from tableware. It is supplied at 25 cm × 30 cm, 160 sheets per roll, to be torn off as required and discarded after use — which avoids the bacterial build-up and cross-contamination associated with repeatedly reused cloths.
